First of all, let us have some ground rules about career decisions.
,
There is no perfect career choice.
Whatever field you choose, it changes and adapting to the change is only the key for survival or thriving.
Whatever skills or competencies you have right now, it will be thrown into the trash and of no use if you stop learning. In today's changing world life long learning is the only way to stay active in your career.
Always you have a power of choice even if you realize your current choice was 'not so good decision' in the future.
No matter who is advising you, how trustful or competent they are, the final choice should be evaluated by your heart, by the way, it's your career, your journey, a path where you may find yourself alone at times.
During career choices, the successful decision is about saying no to all those good choices out there and choosing the better one. (Again, there is no perfect choice).
Now extreme pressure is on kids and parents due to changing, cut-throat competition and uncertainty in careers and the business world waiting for them.
"The only constant thing is change right now"
We can choose only to develop an adaptable and resilient mindset to prepare us for any opportunities and threats along the way ahead.
People who are better aware of changes are able to make proactive decisions to their advantage than being in the victim zone.
Are you still scratching your head?
check if your decision is aligned with the below requirements.
Is your career decision is aligned with who are you? ( I recommend you take a personality test ) A career is like a marriage. Choose wisely because it directly affects your life's balance, satisfaction, and happiness.
Is this career is in demand for now and the future? (at least according to current future projections)
Is this your independent decision? (if you are taking a decision due to external pressure from your parents or friends or even next-door neighbor, you will blame them in future and that, of course, will prevent you from taking 100% responsibility of your life)
if your answer is 'YES' for all the three questions. Go ahead, pal. if any of the answers is 'NO'. Re-evaluate your decisions until you have a clean swipe 'YES" to all questions.

"In the end that was the choice you made, and it doesn't matter how hard it was to make it. It matters that you did." Cassandra Clare, City of Glass
I perfectly know your situation, when you have to make a big decision.
Confusion is natural.
Especially if it's a career choice.
I was in this position once, most of us were in this position once.
Wish You All Success Ahead
